Out there over the rainbow- Environmental Artist- Tony Plant

Walking back home, I thought about doing something outside classroom. Since the beginning of the AP 3D Studio Class, I have always stayed inside art room fighting agains all the picked-back materials, which to me are jewels. Perhaps, I can make something that can interacts with the environments and I thought of sands and soil which prompted me to look for such artist who did his art on the beach.

Tony Plant is an environmental artist who utilize the sand on the beach as a medium. He creates patterns that interacts with each other as well as the environment.

I hope to create something (not too large) that interrelates to the environment, and, if possible, deals with current world issues.

HOT GLUE - Yasuaki Onishi

Its time back to school and its also the time I start to explore new materials. Working on three dimensional sculptures, I really want to challenge myself and try something that I never used before. Thus, I wondered online and accidentally bump into Yasuaki Onishi. His installation art works was created by utilizing hot glue gun. This remind me of strings and webs.

Yasuaki Onishi employs the lines created by melted glue to form shapes and patterns. with a great variety of lines. All of them come together and form a fascinating scene.
